Object Summary
The object is a rectangular paper document detailing the assignment of a subscription share in the spinning machine at Louth, dated 16th January 1798.The top edge of the object has been cut in a wavy manner to denote the authenticity of the document. There are three wax seals in the bottom right of the object next to the signatures (Figure 2). Some areas in the main body of text appear to have been intentionally left blank in order to be filled later by the author once further details, such as dates, had been established. Some of these intentional gaps have been filled in, evidenced by the darker ink, likely caused due to the use of a different batch of iron gall ink.
